CBD for Students

Reading Time: 3 minutes

It’s that time of year again and school is right around the corner.  As a past student, I know how the school year can take a toll on mental and physical health.  So why would CBD be useful for Students?

One survey found that nearly 50% of students at a college level were using CBD for stress and pain management. To me, it is no surprise that more and more students are turning to CBD

Where to Start?

To start, what is CBD? Cannabidiol or CBD is a natural compound already produced within the human body.

Chronic stress and over exhaustion can cause our bodies to be deficient in CBD and other “cannabinoids”.  These cannabinoids may be essential for regulating our emotions, thinking, mood, sleep and immune system.

By using natural plant-based CBD, we can bring major relief to pain, anxiety, sleep and more.

The Benefits of CBD for Students

Physical Pain

Many students like to keep a healthy lifestyle. Whether it be healthy eating, physical exercise, sports, etc.  Some may also be student athletes.

As a result, joint and muscle pain are a common issue with these types of students.  There is also the chance that some students have chronic problems that date from their past.

CBD has the potential to relieve muscle and joint pain through its powerful anti0inflammatory benefits.  Using a Topical medium containing CBD can especially be useful to alleviate specific areas where the pain is felt.  CBD also has amazing anti-inflammatory properties.

Sleep Issues

Students don’t get much sleep, whether it be because of assignments, studying, hobbies or jobs.

As everyone says, sleep is the most essential need we must have in order to feel and perform at our very best.  It is essential to recharge, energize the mind, help with memory, repairing and grow the body.

Some students might need that extra help to fall asleep.  Sleep Aids such as CBD and CBN Oils containing terpenes can have a positive effect on helping you to, not only, fall asleep but stay asleep as well.

For many with Insomnia issues, CBD products can greatly improve their quality of sleep.

Exams and Studying

Ever felt overwhelmed by exams? Or just by studying for one?  You’re not alone.  Most students, if not all, are under tremendous pressure to succeed.  Courses can pile on what feels like an impossible amount of work causing massive anxiety and stress.

This is where CBD may come into play to help relieve anxiety.  CBD can help students relax and clear their minds as they cram the night before an exam.  CBD can also help during it by relieving any feelings of nervousness that can distract a student from performing at their best.

Social Anxiety

For a Student, meeting new people can feel intimidating and potentially lead to social anxiety.

Not everyone is the same but in most cases, social anxiety can be devastating for a healthy social life, self-esteem and mental health.  It can also harm your academic performance as it may stop you from getting help on an assignment and from studying with classmates.

CBD can help by relieving feelings of anxiety.  Used in the correct manner, CBD can help by putting you in a state where you feel safe and comfortable approaching people.  This may allow you to build confidence and gradually ease yourself out of social anxiety.

General Mental Health

All in all, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disorders, depression and physical pain are common for any college and university student.  Using CBD may help relieve the symptoms aforementioned and give them the mental reset byutton they need to reenergize and refocus.
